Cancellations, especially at the last second, used to really irk me when I worked as a tutor at TAMUC’s Writing Center. I have often wondered what policies other universities have in place for such cancellations and how frequently they occur on their respective campuses. We can all attest to the power of face to face peer tutoring, but like going to the gym, showing up can be the hardest part for many students and clients.
I look forward to assuaging many of my wonderings at Ms. Lamar’s presentation (session C.4, Saturday @ 9:20-10:35am), and I sure look forward to meeting her for the first time, too!
